Uses?
For privacy or decorative purposes, safety or solar control, for your home or business. Window film is an extremely versatile material.
Where?
Internally on any glass surface including double glazed units, mirrors. In any room, including bathrooms and kitchens (avoid direct contact with water).
In or out?
Window film is for internal use but in extreme cases it can be used outside where it's lifespan will be shortened due to exposure to the elements.
How?
It is an easy process using our comprehensive set of instructions. You will probably have most of the tools already. The film is applied using soapy water making bubbles easy to get rid of.
When?
At any time of the year. We would recommend avoiding extremely high or low temperatures and direct sunlight when installing your film.
On plastic?
Window film can be installed on plastic. You'll need to use a soapier mix for installation as the film will stick a lot faster than it would on glass. However, beware that you won't be able to remove the film at a later stage.
Measuring?
Always double check all your glass sizes. When cutting the film, add an extra 10mm to the height and width to be trimmed after installation.
Cleaning?
Use glass cleaning wipes or a cloth and soapy water. If your film is a bespoke design, take extra care around any exposed edges.
Durable?
The film we supply is hard wearing and will last for many years under normal conditions. It is totally waterproof and will not suffer from exposure to condensation.
Removable?
Depending on how long the film has been on the glass and the aspect of the windows, the film will be more or less easy to remove. Typically, you'll be able to peel most of it off and scrape off the rest with a window scraper.
Installation service?
Window film installation is very easy to achieve even for the novices. However, for large areas of glass or commercial buildings, we would be happy to arrange for installation to be done for you. Just contact us with the measurements and number of windows and we'll send you a quote.
